About

Mitch Clawson is an Executive Director at Cushman & Wakefield, where he has been advising clients since 2009. Over the course of his career, Mitch has successfully negotiated more than 7 million square feet of complex lease and acquisition transactions, representing a diverse client base that spans from early-stage startups to Fortune 500 companies. He specializes in occupier representation, advocating on behalf of tenants across a wide range of commercial real estate and facility strategy needs.

Mitch’s expertise includes location and site selection, transaction negotiation and management, lease administration, financial modeling, labor analytics, real estate benchmarking, and workplace strategy and design.

He is an active member of Cushman & Wakefield’s Tenant Advisory Group, Legal Sector Advisory Group, and Life Sciences Practice Group. Deeply involved in the San Diego business ecosystem, Mitch currently serves on the board of CONNECT, a leading innovation accelerator, and participates in several other regional organizations that support growth and entrepreneurship.

Mitch graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. He lives in Carlsbad, California, with his wife Jackie and their two children, Ivy and Ford.
