About

Ben is a member of Cushman & Wakefield's Minnesota Land Team, where he has worked alongside Jon Rausch, Luke Appert, and Theo Petrie since 2016. The team specializes in land acquisitions and dispositions throughout Minnesota, Western Wisconsin, and the surrounding Midwest, with expertise spanning the industrial, multifamily, single-family, master-planned community, retail, medical, and agricultural sectors. Since Ben joined in 2016, the Minnesota Land Team has closed more than $500 million in land transactions.

Ben and his team are involved in every aspect of the transaction, from land-use and rezoning efforts to site selection and identifying the right third-party consultants for each asset. Ben holds a master's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and that academic foundation, combined with his mapping and property research expertise, has shaped him into a highly sophisticated site searcher for clients across a wide range of product types. He is especially skilled at working within a city's comprehensive plan to identify emerging opportunities, layering market analytics, demographics, and land-use considerations into a site search that gives clients a clearer, more complete picture of each site's potential.

Ben has also cultivated strong working relationships with municipal staff and city officials throughout the region and leverages those connections on his clients' behalf — securing early clarity on a city's vision for a site, navigating entitlement and rezoning conversations efficiently, and connecting clients with the right decision-makers at the right time.
