In this project, Cushman & Wakefield was responsible for the architecture and project management of Lusitania Seguros’ offices, and also provided change management and workplace strategy services. The consultancy had previously been involved in the building’s leasing process.
As the Project Manager appointed by the building owner, CBRE assumed full responsibility for the management and coordination of the entire project from concept to delivery, covering the common areas, parking facilities and exterior landscaping, which together resulted in a comprehensive refurbishment of the building. Its role in supporting the owner proved decisive in defining the technical and strategic conditions necessary for the successful completion of the project.
CBRE was also responsible for the architecture and engineering designs of the building’s common areas, as well as the engineering component of Lusitania Seguros’ offices. Finally, it also led the building’s ESG component, integrating principles of energy efficiency, well-being, circularity and sustainability practices aligned with current corporate real estate market requirements. The interior works were carried out by Vector Mais as the main contractor, with site supervision provided by Ortogonal.
The project was conceived with the aim of contributing to the identity and future of Lusitania Seguros, creating spaces that enhance well-being, functionality and innovation. The Niña building includes a ground floor housing the main entrance and a web café area for employees, as well as eight office floors. The first floor stands out for its social focus, featuring an auditorium and a support pantry. The remaining floors are dedicated to workspaces, offering a total of 270 workstations. All floors include meeting rooms, lounge areas and other support spaces to ensure greater comfort and functionality.
Maria Abecasis, Architect in the Project & Development Services department at Cushman & Wakefield, comments: “We are very satisfied with the final outcome of the project. We believe that the new premises of Lusitania Seguros will promote integration, agility and teamwork among all employees. The space was designed to encourage collaboration and bring greater efficiency to working methods, thanks to an environment carefully tailored to meet team needs. The result is a space that reflects a strong brand identity.”
