Le Vieux Moulin welcomes 33 children across two sites, offering not only material support but also psychological and educational guidance aimed at rebuilding trust, emotional security and self-esteem. Their mission is to create a protective and stable environment where each child feels valued, listened to and supported on their path towards a more peaceful future.
Our First Two Volunteering Days – Painting the Boys’ Rooms
On Thursday 5 March and Friday 6 March, a team of around 10 colleagues from Cushman & Wakefield Luxembourg, including our Country Head, spent two days at Le Vieux Moulin repainting the boys’ bedrooms as well as some common areas.
Cushman & Wakefield is also very grateful for the valuable support of some extra volunteers, who joined us for this meaningful initiative. It was both a rewarding opportunity to contribute to such an inspiring association and an excellent team-building activity for our Luxembourg colleagues.
Next Step: Girls’ Rooms in April
Our collaboration continues: in April, we will return to the site for two additional days to repaint the girls’ bedrooms, and we look forward to continuing to support the exceptional work carried out every day by the teams at Le Vieux Moulin.
Philippe Fostier (Associate, Office Agency), also a board member of Le Vieux Moulin:
"It was an intense and wonderful day where everyone gave their very best. By joining forces with other volunteers, we managed to deliver great work, and seeing the smiles on the boys’ faces was truly rewarding.
This gives us the energy to do just as much for the girls very soon. I would like to sincerely thank all the participants, as their contribution helps to improve the children’s well-being in their daily lives."
At Cushman & Wakefield Luxembourg, we are committed to making a positive impact in our community and initiatives like this remind us of the power of collective action, empathy and time dedicated to a meaningful cause.
