Michiel’s team is a blend of capital markets and leasing specialists. Cushman & Wakefield’s Retail Capital Markets team has long been a top player in the Dutch retail investment market. We advise clients on the acquisition and disposal of retail assets, as well as on strategic portfolio reviews. Thanks to our close collaboration with the Equity, Debt & Structured Finance team, a sale is not always necessary - we can also explore (re)financing options. This partnership also enables us to effectively support clients in acquisitions, where the use of financing can help optimize returns.

Cushman & Wakefield’s retail leasing team has been a market leader for years in the high street segment across the top 20 cities in the Netherlands. We advise landlords on potential tenant mixes and actively seek the most suitable tenants for their retail properties. For occupiers, we identify the best locations that align with their brand identity and target audience.

In addition, we offer specialized services in rent review—a niche within the Dutch real estate market. Thanks to our extensive retail market data, we are able to provide clients with the best possible advice.
