About

Michael de Ruiter is a real estate professional within Cushman & Wakefield's Project & Development Services team. Based in Utrecht, he supports clients in developing, transforming, and future-proofing real estate assets, from initial feasibility studies through to technical design and project delivery.

With a strong background in architecture, building engineering, and technical design, Michael advises clients on complex real estate challenges related to new-build developments, renovations, redevelopments, sustainability initiatives, and asset repositioning. He combines creativity and design quality with in-depth technical expertise to deliver solutions that are both functional and future-ready.

Michael helps clients translate strategic objectives into practical real estate solutions. He oversees design quality, technical feasibility, and compliance with applicable regulations, while ensuring effective collaboration between design teams, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

His expertise spans workplace and office projects, large-scale logistics developments, urban regeneration projects, and complex refurbishment and transformation programmes. Drawing on his experience in both design and execution, Michael helps clients manage risk, safeguard quality, and maximise the value of their real estate investments.
